Boy, did Brian call at the wrong time or what? I'm not exactly sure what Evil Jim is saying to him on the other line, but the implication is that Jim's being very pissy. Just trying to drive a larger wedge between Jim and his friends.

Those of you who actually know your way around the James J. Whalen Center for Music know that Evil Jim defies physics by using the fourth floor entrance...and ends up on the fifth floor lounge leading to the elevator tower. This tower actually exists, although it's not really shaped like a phalis.
DDR arrows. Heh. I kill me. (In Utena, people are led to the elevator by rows of chairs with little cards on them pointing which way to go.)
Eric, as the Rose Boy (or as some refer to it, Rose Bitch) is ready and waiting for Jim with the chair.

The picture on the wall is the cowboy bebop logo. It regresses into a Gundam head before finally turning into Astro Boy. In Utena, a butterfly mounted on the wall in a similar square frame regresses into a larva and then into a leaf. Oooh, the symbolism!
People were confused by Eric's line in panel 6 because it implies that Evil Jim has killed people other than Pat. I took the idea on a tangent. While yes, Jim did kill some people during "War with the World," these drawers also contain the ruins of others who died indirectly as a result of Evil Jim's existence/interference. Betsy, for example. Hers is the drawer which Eric takes the ring from.
Mark of Evil = Utena's Mark of the Rose. Duh.
This can be considered to be Jim's turning point as he departs from his evil path. However, he is NOT on the path of good. Not yet, anyway. Let's say that he went off the path and is now lost in the woods looking for the right one.
This is the ninth and final strip completed during 24 Hour Comic Book Day. And boy were my arms tired.

Title taken from A) Utena's main duel song, and B) Dr. Strangelove. This is your first hint at the resolution of this EoE chapter. (Yes, from here on I know exactly where the story's going!)
The opening naration is a take-off of the opening narration of Utena's origin.
Carolyn and Samantha return to continuity in the form of C-Ko and S-Ko, respectively. The shadow girls in Utena (A-Ko, B-Ko, and C-Ko) appear just before each sunset duel to provide exposition...or just to confuse you with their insane antics.
Yeah, that's Photoshop's brick texturizer. I'm lazy.
Hmm...I forgot to italicize "Kodocha." It's an anime.
Pocky is delicious.
